March Events

We have been busy the last couple of weeks celebrating Read across America and Dr. Seuss as well as learning about all kinds of weather. We began by making our Cat in the Hat masks,

We made some wild and cloudy weather paintings,

learned about the water cycle using cotton ball "clouds"
 and cups of water,

and tested out our windy weather windsocks!

We also made clouds in a jar, which is always a big hit. The children enjoyed watching the "rain" coming down through the "clouds" creating a rainbow of colors!

And finally, we decided to try to catch a leprechaun... we made a trap, baited it with fruit loops and the kids were so excited to see what would happen. As I'm sure many of you have already heard, although we didn't catch one, he had quite the time in our classroom mixing things up and leaving a trail of glitter and a note behind!

We also made some festive St. Patrick's Day headbands and Shamrock necklaces.

It was so much fun!
