Feeling Thankful

November has been a busy month as we begin to prepare for the holidays. We began by reading Mrs. Wishy Washy by Joy Cowley, and practiced story sequencing by acting out the story in small groups.

They had so much fun that they chose to act it out over and over doing play time!

We have also been busy playing in our new "Post Office" center, where they have been writing notes and delivering them to friends and family...

We were very fortunate to have a PTO sponsored music program. Mary Beth Maes came to entertain us with her interactive songs and movement. The children had a great time!

And finally, we had a lot of fun getting ready for our Cornucopia Celebration. We read many books on what it means to be thankful and the children have been so excited to share what they are thankful for, coming up with many ideas throughout the past few weeks. We practiced our songs and  made our "How to Cook a Turkey" cookbook. And then we took all our healthy food contributions and cut up the fruits and vegetables. They especially enjoyed making a turkey out of cut up veggies!

Great job preschoolers!

Halloween Fun!

We had so much fun preparing for the Halloween festivities here at school. We read lots of fun books including Room on the Broom by Julie Donaldson. We then made some shape witches...

And put Five Little Pumpkins sitting on a fence....

We also made our Halloween spider hats to wear for our parade up to the library for a special story..

Say "Boo"!
