More October Fun!

The last couple of weeks have been very busy here in preschool. We got a special visit from Firefighter Dave who taught us how to stay safe in the event of an emergency. We watched him put on his gear and learned not to be afraid when his mask and helmet went on.

They were great Jr. Firefighters!

As part of our science curriculum we used our senses to explore a pumpkin, inside and out.

Some of the words used to describe the experience included wet, cold, slimy and sticky!

As an early STEM activity we used some everyday materials to make pumpkins and fences to go along with our Five Little Pumpkins book and song..

We also read the story Big Pumpkin and then acted it out playing all the different characters..

It was such fun!

For our special Halloween festivities, we made our spider hats,

and then paraded through the school to the library for a special story time!

Say Boo!
